‘Smile and pray!’
The Marsh Green Chaplaincy Team is having a tremendous impact on the area, and the closure of St Barnabas’ building has caused the church to experience the Spirit of God move in new and unexpected ways. ‘Smile and pray’ has become a quote that the chaplains use regularly and the command of Jesus to love one another has taken on a whole new meaning.
Through the chaplains’ friendly presence on the streets and kindness showed in practical ways (such as many families being fed during the summer holidays) the lives of local people are being touched, new relationships are being formed, and many are beginning to open up to faith as they experience God in action.
Please pray that more people will come to personal faith and that the team can find new ways to be church in the community.
