Seniors

serving older people

Historically the church has always cared for older people, and we are committed to this important task. From home visits to lunch clubs  and ‘Messy Vintage’ groups, we care for the senior members of our community in diverse ways.

3T’s (Tea, Toast & Talk) is a group for all over 55’s to share faith, fellowship, food and making crafts.

They meet once a month on Thursday (usually the first Thursday of the month) at St John’s Church, New Springs 10.30-12pm (refreshments from 10am)

Friends Together

Established more than a decade ago Friends Together has gone from strength to strength and over the last few years attendance has grown significantly now attracting between 40 and 60 guests each month, many of which are elderly and/or live alone and it is an opportunity for people to get together for a chat with old friends and to make new ones.

Led by Linda Berry with the support of a small team of loyal volunteers we meet on the first Wednesday of each month and provide a hearty meal and a dessert, bingo and a raffle.

They meet once a month on the first Wednesday of the month at St Paul’s Hall, Clapgate Lane WN3 6SB (in the grounds of St. Paul’s School) at 12.00 noon.

To book on please contact Linda Berry on 01942 492521 or for more information about the group you can email Allan Conroy here
